Spiritually supporting older people in the community
About St Albans Anna Chaplaincy
Anna Chaplaincy seeks to accompany older people at this age and stage of their lives. It is an ecumenical, community-based, chaplaincy promoting the spiritual welfare of older people. Anna Chaplaincy is a person-centred and non-judgemental ministry for people of strong, little or no faith at all. St Albans Anna Chaplaincy was developed by both Methodist Churches in the city and is now a growing ecumenical team of chaplains.
Home visits
Many older people struggle to make it along to church or to get out and about during the week. Pastoral support can be offered though Anna Chaplains who work alongside Maggie so do contact her if you would like a visit from one of the team.
Services in retirement flats
Anna Chaplaincy offers Communion services monthly at several of St Albans Retirement Flat complexes. If you’d like to know where these take place and would like to join us please contact Maggie.
Care Home Ministry
St Albans Anna Chaplaincy has a presence in most of our city’s care homes, offering regular worship and pastoral visiting. If you would like to talk to Maggie and the team about a visit or what the chaplaincy can offer in your local care setting to make contact.
